Today, members started the day with cleaning the apparatus, followed by giving Squad 55 ( soon to be Squad 10 ) a new look. Then the members had a cookout and continued getting the apparatus ready for the official day on Monday.

It’s a hard process to go through. A little painful for all parties involved. It hurts to give up your number/house/“identity” but it’s a wild ride joining forces and creating the new one. We are seeing the benefits/rewards of the process in Collingdale. Best of luck to all involved. Strong work setting aside the ego and pride and doing what’s best for the community and residents you serve!

Good luck. As Brian Fish has already stated we have already seen the benefits of merging/consolidating. As a life member it was definitely a hard pill to swallow. I wish the best of luck that we have had@ Station 33. Stay safe

Best wishes, good luck, and stay safe and healthy as you go out protecting the communities you proudly serve! God bless you all!

Is this gonna be the lineup? Squad, Rescue, Tower, Engine 10?

Best Wishes and Thank you!

Make it happen boys. Best of luck.

Thanks to all of you for serving our community

Will the new Eng-55 be stationed there once it's in service?

Will it be the Upper Chichester Fire Department?

👍 Nice job all! 👍

Looks nice

Best of luck in this new endevor!

Boothwyn Fire Company

The three Volunteer Fire Departments (Boothwyn, Ogden, and Reliance) in Upper Chichester Township have been working on a solution to address the ever increasing need to meet the manpower demands of operating in a safe and efficient manner and with the goal of improving emergency services to the community. In an attempt to accomplish this objective, the Chief Officers are experimenting with operating out of one central location, at this time being Boothwyn Fire Company.

Responders will report to this central location where fire apparatus of each of the Fire Companies will be located. This will become effective on August 3rd. In the time leading to this date, cross training has been occurring so that familiarity with each other’s equipment and operations can result in a smooth transition with maximum effectiveness. Further to build upon the team concept, Delaware County Emergency Services has agreed to dispatch the Upper Chichester Fire Departments under a singular Company Number of “10.”

During the trial period, this approach will be evaluated to insure that coverage is adequately maintained and response time not impacted. In addition, retention of the current volunteers will be paramount and recruitment will remain a focused initiative. We appreciate the support the Public has given us in the past and during this time of challenge for Volunteers that you continue to acknowledge our value in making Upper Chichester Township a better, safer place.

We will post our new Facebook page in the coming days. So stayed tuned for more updates.

Going the way Aston did huh? Go for it. Recruitment is tough!! Plus... The current Upper Chichester Fire Department system layout is unbalanced anyway. Reliance should have ALWAYS been in Twin Oaks. If that were the case I would say leave it alone. But since it's not....... Go for one large provider. Good Luck. Much gratitude for what you do!!!! How long is the trial period.

I applaud the members of all fire companies involved in this trial consolidation of services and doing what's best for the community. Keep up the good work !

Does Boothwyn have room for all the trucks

Congratulations to the members of all the companies and more importantly the residents and businesses of Upper Chichester. Delivering the highest quality service is paramount to our service and this will accomplish that goal. Good Luck Station 10

Is the MICU also responding from Meetinghouse Rd?

Congratulations and good luck guys and gals. Company 33 took a good 2 years to pull it off.

Thank you all for being there for all of us .

Thinking out of the box ! Strong work

Who was Station 10 in the old days?

Thank you all for your continuing service.

Congratulations and Best of Luck from the Officers and Members of Station 1

Why haven't Chichester residents know about this before

Well done crews, we hope this transition goes as smoothly as possible

Good luck with the transition. Wishing you all the best.

Lol, I used to be a part of the station 10 in Colwyn..... I really hope this has a much better outcome than that place lol

Best of Luck Station 10

Should be a little interesting to have a super Wawa crop up across the street from the main firehouse. 🤔
